Adelaide - the fab opshops and markets - Marion markets

Phew.  It's been a bit of a week - being in Adelaide, then coming back and straight into a few weeks of work that involves FIVE AM wake-ups.  Ugh.  But, yes - Adelaide... it was rad.

We did a spot of shopping - opshop and markets, of course!  We went to the Marion Markets on a beautiful Sunday and loved it.  Friendly vibe, lots of space in between the stalls for easy movement and reasonable prices. They are on the first and third Sunday of each month at 262 Sturt Road Marion.  We caught a bus from - the 248 from Grote St in the city - out there, and it took about 45 minutes. More info here.

I could not resist this beautiful Japanese creamer - it's full of sweet peas as we speak - $2.

I bought a bulk lot - around 35 or 40 hand embroidered tray cloths for $12.  I see another quilt coming.

Books with great vintage illustrations for $1 each and Arabian nights for Little Miss O for a bit later - it's a bit gruesome - which she would probably love, actually.  Sigh.

And classic - Michael Jackson's Thriller LP for $5.  We have had it on the record player non-stop ever since pretty much.

Little Miss O scored a bag of Barbies for $5.   Happy days.
