Sewing for kids: cosy house sweatshirt

It's getting quite chilly here in the Toke, and Little Miss O didn't really have anything comfy and slouchy to wear around the house to keep her cosy.  Mr O offered to buy her something, but I said "NO!" and went to rummage around in my fabric box.

Using sweatshirt fabric I got at a flea market, some ribbing that I bought for another project at a store whose minimum measurement is a metre and her cardigan for a guide, I whipped one up in an afternoon.

We selected a babushka motif to spice it up a bit - cut from another bit of fabric from my stash.  All in all, it cost about 100 - 150 yen max.  It's a little large, but she is growing like a triffid, so....
