Clean as a whistle - eco cleaning

Chez les Okuda reeked of vinegar and tea tree oil today and a whole lot of "hubble bubble, toil and trouble" kind of business as Little Miss O and I set to work making batches of cleaner and so on for the house.  My aim is to get the cleaning supplies down to the basics:

Bicarb soda
Castile soap
Eco dishwashing detergent
White vinegar
Tea tree oil
Lavender oil

We made;

Disinfectant -a spray bottle of water mixed with a few drops of lavender and tea tree oil
Window cleaner - a spray bottle of 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar
Multipurpose cleaner - a spray bottle of 1/2 water, 1/2 vinegar and a teaspoon of bicarb (watch out as this foams up a lot)
Mould spray - two cups of water with two teaspoons of tea tree oil.
Shower spray - see A Thrifty Mrs' recipe here.

I am planning to get rid of most of our personal care products and just stick to these basics too - with a few extras mixed in, but that is for another day and another post.

Scrub.  Scrub.  Scrub.
