Allergy-free: Cooking gone wrong

Hm.  I have run out of bread mixes for Little Miss O, so I decided to go rookie and try my own breadmaking without a recipe.  Unwise.  I went the whole sugar-yeast-water-flour combo and as you can see below...

It didn't work.

It doesn't taste bad - just...plain.  And it looks bloody horrid.  Maybe it will be OK toasted - I will try it and see.

Oh dear.  To assuage the pain of this ugly pic, I have attached some pics taken at a shrine today.  See the pretty lanterns, feel better.
